Course Description

Jewish Philosophy 301 - 3 Credits

 

This course will examine how Jewish philosophy views life's purpose and why individuality is an integral part. We will explain how happiness is the foundational theme of Jewish Philosophy that impacts everyday life. In addition, we will learn why education has been the primary focus of the Jewish people since their inception. The course will analyze the major philosophical works produced between the 16th and 18th centuries. These texts have been translated into English thereby enabling students to draw their own conclusions.
